    Zach Luebstorf

    President / Chief Technician

    Zach Luebstorf is the Owner and Chief Technician of Luebstorf Marine Services. Zach has received a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans and holds a minor in Electrical Engineering. Zach brings over two decades of boating experience to the table on vessels of all sizes. Licensed as a Readiness Control Officer and Watch Engineer for the U.S. Navy’s Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship. He is responsible for the safe operation of the Hull, Machinery and Power Plant and is on hand for consultation from the ship's crew.

    Zach’s expertise lies with small to medium sized vessel seakeeping, autonomous handling characteristics, and ballasting conditions. Zach also has ample experience in vessel networking, communication, firefighting systems, electronics, and marine surveys.

    George Selden

    Vice President of Engineering

    George Selden is the co-owner and vice president of Luebstorf Marine Services. He received both his bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and his master’s degree in Engineering Science from the University of New Orleans. George has Previously worked for multiple government contractors and has specialized experience in structural and stability design as well as a wide range of programming and software design.

    With years of experience on everything from large naval vessels to small recreational craft, George is dedicated to innovating and constructing custom solutions for any challenge presented by the marine environment.

    Spencer Brooks

    Naval Architect and Marine Rigging Engineer

    Spencer Brooks brings a wealth of expertise to his role at Luebstorf Marine Services. Specializing in running rigging, masthead hardware, and block and tackle systems, Spencer leverages over a decade of sailing experience in both racing and cruising, from small sailboats to large yachts. His credentials include certification as a U.S. Sailing Small Boat Instructor, reflecting his dedication to both the sport and safety of sailing.

    Spencer has received a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans. His academic pursuits complement his hands-on experience, enabling him to innovate and excel in marine rigging solutions.

    David Metzger

    Marine Repair Technician

    David Metzger is the go to technician for anything engine related. With over 15 years of experience on the water and working on everything from dirt bikes to large marine diesels, he is ready to take on any problem the sea brings to him. He has facilitated large engine repairs, overhauls, and replacements on an armada of different vessels as well as hands-on engineering work such as CAD modeling and code compliance.

    David is currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of New Orleans.

  • Dylan Davis

    Marine Repair Technician (Seasonal)

    Dylan spent much of his time growing up sailing and learning to navigate coastal waters, which shaped his appreciation for the marine environment from an early age. Through these experiences, he developed a strong connection to the water and an understanding of teamwork, responsibility, and adaptability which he applies professionally while continuing to learn and grow through hands-on experience.

    Marine Repair Technician (Seasonal)

    Growing up in Louisiana, Alex developed a fascination with all things maritime. As a current masters student at Southeastern Louisiana University, he is always curious, creative, and friendly. whether its engineering, coastal ecosystem science, or conservation work, he is always eager to dive into the marine world.
